The International Dentist Track in The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is intended for dentists who have completed their dental education outside of the United States and are looking to obtain their Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. This program provides qualified international dental graduates with the opportunity to prepare for and meet licensure requirements with the ultimate aim of practicing within the United States.

Through an accelerated and rigorous curriculum, students admitted to the International Dentist Track will participate in a combination of didactic coursework, simulation-based training, and supervised clinical experiences.  The curriculum is designed for incoming students to begin as second-year students, with completion occurring in 28 months.

Letters of Evaluation Instructions

Letters may not come from a relative.  

Minimum of 2 letters, but no more than 4 for can be submitted.  (If more than 4 are provided, we will only review the first 4 that were entered.)

 

 

TOEFL Requirement Instructions

If score results were before January 21, 2026: Minimum score is 90

Any scores after January 21, 2026: Minimum score is 4.5

National Board Requirement Instructions

Must have either a passing score on the Integrated National Board Dental Examination (INBDE) or Part 1 and Part 2 of the National Board Dental Examination.
