Citizenship and Immigration Eligibility
Applicants with citizenship or permanent resident status in the US are eligible to apply. Permanent resident status must extend without renewal for the duration of the program. Eligible applicants will be evaluated on their professional merit and not visa status.

TOEFL Requirement Instructions
Must demonstrate acceptable English language speaking and reading skills. Applicants whose native language is not English are required to take the TOEFL internet-based test (TOEFL iBT). A minimum 94 iBT score and a score of 20 or above in each of the four skill areas is required. (Suggested 100 iBT score or above to be competitive.) TOEFL scores more than two years old are not accepted. UAB SOD accepts the Home Edition of the TOEFL.
National Board Requirement Instructions
Must pass NBDE Part I & II or the Integrated National Board Dental Examination (INBDE) prior to application.
