OMFS Program provides the best possible learning environment, resources, instruction and clinical exposure necessary for each resident to acquire the broad and solid knowledge base and well-developed clinical skills necessary to practice the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgical specialty and educate residents with the following goals and objectives: Systematic and comprehensive didactic and clinical training to attain proficiency in the specialty; Basic sciences and medical education to identify diseases and disorders of the oral and maxillofacial region and engage in investigative research and opportunities for submission of a paper for publication and/or national presentation; Pursue additional post-graduate training; prepare for certification by American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and develop competent, ethical, compassionate practitioners who strive for excellence in their profession, and commit to life-long learning.
