The Pediatric Dental Residency Program was started in 2001 and is fully accredited by the ADA Council on Dental Education. The program offers strong clinical and didactic training in all areas of pediatric dentistry including: interceptive orthodontics, restorative, oral surgery, sedation and oral rehabilitation under general anesthesia. The patient population is ethnically diverse and includes: healthy children, as well as developmentally, physically, medically and mentally handicapped children and adults. Upon completion the resident receives a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and meets the advanced education eligibility requirements of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

For a completed file:

1. All applicants must apply through PASS and MATCH.

2. PASS Requirements:  CV must contain a 2x2 picture; personal statement; dental school transcripts; three letters of recommendation including one from the dean; Boards Part 1 and Part 2 or integrated must be passed by December or sooner; all applicants must contact the ADA, give them email mararroy@bronxcare.org so they can email the scores to Ms. Arroyo (even if the scores are in PASS.)

3. All applicants must contact Ms. Arroyo for the supplemental application. (mandatory)

Additional Information

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must contact the program to request the BronxCare Supplemental application which must be mailed ONLY with a 2x2 picture to the program. Applicants must contact the ADA, give them email address: mararroy@bronxcare.org, so they can email the official NBDE  integrated board scores.
