This is a 12 month GPR program in a level one trauma center. All phases of general dentistry are done by our residents. In addition, we incourage residents to place and restore implants and after being trained in the safe use of a laser, to work with our attendings in using a laser for soft tissue excision. There is a full didactic schedule which shifts with the resident progression throughout the year from oral surgery, to all phases of general dentisitry, to practice management and prepparation for private practice. There are 16 dental assistants for 11 residents and there are 3 full time hygienists. This is an excellent program for individuals that want to maximize their clinical and didactic learning experience.
