Sponsored by Paris Regional Health (PRH) and conducted at the Austin Institute of Dental Medicine (AIDM), the orthodontic residency is a 24-month program designed to develop specialists through comprehensive clinical training, interdisciplinary treatment planning and contemporary digital workflows.
Training includes fixed appliance therapy, clear aligner treatment, growth modification, interdisciplinary treatment planning, surgical orthodontics, digital orthodontics, retention management, and evidence-based decision making.
Residents work closely with a core faculty team in a highly collaborative educational environment designed to maximize individualized feedback, clinical calibration, and mentorship. The curriculum integrates contemporary technologies including digital treatment workflows, 3D Imaging, intraoral scanning, and modern orthodontic appliance systems to prepare graduates for the evolving future of orthodontic practice.
In addition to clinical training, residents participate in structured seminars, case presentations, literature review, and research activities that support critical thinking, communication skills, and professional development.
