The Richard L. Roudebush VAMC Medical Center is located 2 miles northwest of the heart of downtown Indianapolis and has been serving Indiana Veterans since 1932.  As Indiana's tertiary care facility, the Richard L. Roudebush VAMC receives referrals from VA facilities at Fort Wayne and Marion, Indiana as well as Danville, Illinois.  The Medical Center has an active affiliation with the Indiana University School of Dentistry and School of Medicine.

The Dental service plays an integral role within this medical center and is valued for its interaction with other healthcare professions.  Some of the services that the dental service provides are: inpatient consultations, collaboration with medical-surgical staff for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with oral conditions, and providing dental treatment to outpatients with medical comorbidities for which treatment is considered necessary.   Dental specialities provided in the clinic are periodontics, oral surgery and endodontics.
