Program Overview

The The Spartanburg Medical Center AEGD at Foundry Dental Center (Bessemer, AL) is a mission-driven, high-volume program designed to grow confident clinicians through meaningful responsibility and service. 

Residents deliver comprehensive care for patients who often face significant barriers to treatment - building skill, speed, and judgment while making a measurable community impact.

Clinical Experience (What You’ll Do Here)

Residents treat a broad mix of patients and cases, with strong emphasis in areas applicants consistently seek:

  • Surgical and Restorative focus
  • IV moderate sedation training available (documented cases; certification pathway available for residents who elect it)
  • Patient mix includes both:
    • Comprehensive care patients and
    • Emergency limited-care visits

  • 14 operatories
