About Swope Health
Swope Health has provided comprehensive primary care, dental care, and behavioral health services in the Greater Kansas City area for 55 years. The first clinic was located in the basement of a church. In its first year of operation, with 20 associates, Swope Health served more than 2,000 patients.
Today, Swope Health provides care for nearly 50,000 patients annually, and has 23 locations throughout Missouri and Kansas. It is the largest Federally Qualified Health Center in the region.

About the Residency Program
Swope Health's 12-month AEGD Residency Program develops oral healthcare leaders who are reflective of and responsive to the diverse communities that Swope Health serves. Residents can expect clinical experiences and didactics lessons centered on:

General Dentistry

Letters of Evaluation Instructions
Four (4) recommendation letters: One (1) of the three letters must be an institutional evaluation letter (dean of the school) and three (3) of the letters must be professional evaluation letters from dental faculty.
Other Requirement Instructions
- Graduate from a U.S. or Canadian accredited dental school
- Complete and submit American Dental Education Association Postdoctoral Application Support Service (ADEA PASS) application and documents
- Personal statement- include highlights such as candidate’s passion for dentistry, academic achievements, clinical experiences, leadership roles, community service, research, and personal attributes
- In-person interviews strongly preferred
