  • Applicants are required to EITHER have completed and passed the NBDE Pt. 1 before application, AND NBDE Pt. 2 before matriculation OR completed and passed INBDE before matriculation.

TOEFL Requirement Instructions

If your native language is not English, the TOEFL is required. Scores are to be submited before the application deadline (September 1st).  The minimum score for TOEFL is 100.

In addition, our program requires a supplementary application emailed to orthodontics@temple.edu.  The email should include the following:

  1.  Letter explaining your interest in the Department of Orthodontics at Temple University (This is separate from your Personal Statement in PASS)
  2.  CV that includes your GPA for Dental School and Undergraduate Studies 
  3.  GRE Scores
  4.  National Board Scores when taken. 
  5.  TOEFL scores for ALL international applicants whose native language is not English. The minimum score for TOEFL is 100.
  6.  2x2 picture 

*These supplementary documents are required and separate from you PASS application.

Applicants are eligible to enroll if they are:

  • US Permanent Resident

  • Canadian Permanent Resident
  • Non-US Citizen/Resident (program offers sponsorship)
  • Non-US Citizen/Resident would have to apply for an F1 Visa
