With construction completed in January 2025, the postgraduate Prosthodontics program enjoys working in a brand new, state of the art, well-equipped clinic and laboratory space at the Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Each resident has their own clinic chair and laboratory bench with an en-suite digital design milling/printing room and wet lab.
We offer a 34-month postgraduate program in Prosthodontics which provides postdoctoral education for dentists committed to specialized practice. Through a strong emphasis on clinical expertise students are well prepared for successful attainment of Board certification. This program offers a Commision on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited Certificate in Prosthodontics and a concurrent Master of Science in Oral Health Sciences (MS OHS) degree.
The primary goals for the Postgraduate Program in Prosthodontics in the Department of Restorative Dentistry is to educate dentists to become competent specialists and leaders in the field of Prosthodontics. This is continuously assessed through clinical and didactic evaluations, surveys, guidelines for clinical accomplishments, mock board examinations, lectures, participation in research and other scholarly activities, and student participation at regional and national meetings. The postgraduate residents in the Prosthodontic program jointly attain the Master of Science in Oral Health Scienes degree, an academically rigorous 40-credit, thesis-based program where students design, implement, and evaluate an independent research project of publishable quality.
