Transcript Evaluation and Instructions
We get these from your PASS application.
Letters of Evaluation Instructions
We require an institutional evaluation form and three (3) additional evaluation forms. We require 1 letter from a pediatric dental faculty member. Especially as many schools report P/F instead of grades, we rely on our pediatric dental colleagues, as they are most familiar with what a residency entails, etc.
For those who have graduated and are currently in practice, two (2) letters from educators are required (with at least 1 pediatric), and they do not have to be from your own dental school. We do not recommend that you submit only letters from colleagues, employers, or non-dentists.
Other Requirement Instructions
We require a passing score for the NBDE Parts 1/2 OR the INDBE by 12/31/2024 (just before the Match rank list deadline). If you have interviewed with us but do not provide scores by then, we will remove you from our rankings.
----
We want your CV and a personal essay uploaded into PASS and we do not want your photo.
We DO NOT require any original or supplemental materials sent to us in any form, not even a fee! Please don't email us to confirm this - or we will then have to charge you a fee...
-----
You will receive a confirmation email from our Education Coordinator as receipt of your completed PASS application. A completed application includes all of your evaluation letters. Our first round of confirmations will be sent around July 15. For submissions after July 15, please allow 5 business days to confirm. If you do not receive this receipt after 5 days, you can contact Pedsdentresidency@nationwidechildrens.org or 614-722-6024. We do not begin reviewing applications until after September 1, so there is no advantage (or stress) for submitting your application early.
