The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Hospital Dentistry Institute offers a one-year, fully accredited residency-training program. The General Dentistry Residency Program is designed to prepare the general dentist to provide a wide range of comprehensive dental services to all types of patients, with an emphasis on the medically and physically compromised.  An annual stipend is provided to each resident.  The stipend amount is determined by the Graduate Medical Education Office.
