SUNY Upstate Medical University Dental is a nationally recognized General Practice Dental Residency Program. Established in 1963, 200 plus residents have received extensive training in general dentistry.  The Upstate program emphasizes the management of all patients, including children and adults with developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and the medically complex.  Time is also spent providing comprehensive dental care to patients under general anesthesia in the operating room.
