The UIC Advanced Prosthodontics Program is progressive and stands out as a leader in providing comprehensive prosthodontic therapy. The Program seeks individuals who have genuine enthusiasm for all aspects of Prosthodontics - traditional, digital and surgical. New clinical facilities are available for patient care. A new conference facility is available for prosthodontic and interdisciplinary seminars. Implant surgical care provided by prosthodontic students is included as a daily component of the integrated, comprehensive prosthodontic treatment philosophy that is based on innovation and advanced technology. Advanced Prosthodontics students have hands-on access to planning software such as Simplant, coDiagnostiX and 3Shape Implant Studio. They have access to intraoral scanners including the Primescan, Trios3 and Straumann CARES, and lab scanners including 3shape and DentalWings in the Advanced Prosthodontics laboratory. A core program focus is planning and providing patient care using multiple implant systems in the digital work-flow environment that includes the support of an in-house digital laboratory technician. Prosthetic milling is completed either on-site or by an outside laboratory. A broad range of patient needs and prosthodontic solutions is provided using the newest innovations.

Certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics is emphasized.  Among the prosthodontic faculty, 8 are Board Certified and 5 hold PhDs. Their enthusiasm creates an incredible and energetic environment for clinical excellence and learning.  Background and experience provided by these individuals will prepare individuals well for the board certification exam.  A number of additional part-time faculty provide further mentorship on a weekly basis.
