Other Requirement Instructions

The Advanced Dental Admission Test (ADAT) is preferred but not required. Scores can be self-reported on the ADEA PASS application.

For applicants who have taken NDBE Part 1 and Part 2, official scores should be submitted directly to PASS. For applicants who will be taking INBDE, scores will not be required for application review.

Residents accepted directly after graduating from dental school must successfully pass a U.S. regional or equivalent Canadian clinical licensure exam prior to or no later than the end of the first year of residency (Spring semester). Applicants, who have been out of dental school for a year or more, must successfully pass a clinical licensure exam before they start in a UMKC's Endodontic residency.

Additional Information

A Masters Degree program is optional and facilitated through the Department of Oral and Craniofacial Sciences. Applicants who have already been accepted into an Advanced Education Endodontics Residency program should contact umkcsodadvedpgms@umkc.edu for specific guidance on applying to the Oral and Craniofacial Sciences MS program. Application for the MS degree in OCS is completed after acceptance and approximately 4 months before entering the program.
