We are a competetive General Practice Residency looking for motivated, hard working and eager residents. A graduate of this program will have the knowledge and skill set to provide high level of care to patients with minimal specialty referral.
Upon completion of this program residents will have a working knowledge of:
- Experience & didactics necessary to develop sound diagnostic, treatment planning and patient assessment skills
- Advanced surgical procedures including implant placement, bone grafting procedures, surgical extractions and pre-prosthetic surgery
- Moderate IV sedation certificate
- Fabrication and insertion of simple and complex fixed and removable prostheses
- Digital dentistry: surgical guides, digital dentures, fixed restorations
- Hospital dentistry including trauma dentistry and special care/ medically complex dentistry
- General anesthesia both in-office and OR setting
- All facets of periodontics including surgical techniques
- All facets of Endodontics including molar endo
- Practice management concepts to facilitate transition into private practice
As an optional two-year program, exceptional residents will be offered the opportunity to continue on for a second year of more advanced training and experience. At the end of the second year of advanced training, the resident will have been exposed to the equivalent of many years of diverse clinical and hospital experience and will depart with abilities and knowledge levels far above that of their peers.
