The University of Washington's Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program aims to enhance professional development of recently graduated dentists through robust training and mentoring in all aspects of general dentistry. This program is designed to expand the scope and depth of the graduates’ knowledge and skills to enable them to practice advanced general dentistry.

AEGD residents will receive a certificate upon completion of our one-year program. Upon certification, trainees may pursue pathway to licensure in Washington state.

Clinical training is delivered in partnership with premier community-based health centers throughout the region, including Kaiser Permanente Dental Group and Community Health Care of Tacoma. Each training site houses a local AEGD Director and cadre of qualified preceptor faculty affiliated with University of Washington School of Dentistry.
