The Advanced Prosthodontics Residency Program at West Los Angeles VA Medical Center is a 36 -month program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of the residency. The program is designed to provide a broad learning experience in both didactic and clinical prosthodontics. Residents are trained in a wide variety of philosophies and principles of prosthodontic treatment in the areas of fixed, removable, implant and maxillofacial prosthodontics as well as utilizing digital technology (CAD/CAM). Residents have opportunities to both surgically place and restore a wide variety of dental implants, as well as to treat patients with maxillofacial prosthetic needs. The program offers significant exposure to diagnosis and treatment planning for medically compromised dental patients with complex restorative needs. The program strongly supports residents with the certification process for the American Board of Prosthodontics. There is no tuition or fee for this residency program. Accepted residents will receive a yearly stipend. Current 1st year resident stipend is $93,777 (may change upon availability of funds).
